Chateau Lycia is a beautifully presented property in a stunning location, 2.5 miles from Saribelen Village in the hills above Kalkan. This thoughtfully designed villa combines spacious outdoor terraces and large rooms, each of which has stunning views across open countryside.
This 7-bedroom villa is finished and equipped to a very high standard and is the perfect choice for those wishing to holiday in space, comfort and privacy, while experiencing local village life in peaceful and tranquil surroundings. The call to prayer from the mosque at Saribelen and the local shepherd calling his flock are the only man-made sounds you’re likely to hear.
Being just a few hundred metres from the famous Lycian Way, the area is the perfect spot for nature-lovers and walkers and is a place where you can truly relax and unwind in the midst of beautiful countryside. In addition, its mountainside location means that you will benefit from a temperature that’s a few degrees cooler than that of Kalkan town.
Chateau Lycia’s ground floor and external areas have been designed with wheelchair users in mind and are fully accessible. The pool also has ramp access, so it’s therefore suitable for wheelchair users.
The villa’s layout is as follows:
Entrance hall (all level, therefore, accessible for wheelchair users) – off of which is a twin bedroom (bedroom 1) with balcony and en-suite shower room (this has a low-level basin so suitable for wheelchair users).
Kitchen with modern appliances including oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
Sliding glass doors lead from the kitchen to a spacious dining area that seats 10.
A further glass sliding door leads to the large living area, which has plenty of comfortable seating, iPod docking station, flatscreen TV, DVD player and a wood burning stove. French doors lead out to the pool terrace.
A WC is also located on this level.
There are four bedrooms on this level:
The two twin bedrooms have use of the family bathroom on this level with shower and whirlpool bath.

This level has access to the roof terrace which has comfortable seating and offers stunning vistas across open countryside and the surrounding mountains. In the distance, you can see the sea through Kaputas Gorge.

Points to note:
'This property is finished to an extremely high standard, and has everything one could ask for. There is a beautiful pool, large bedrooms, luxury en suites, storage space galore, and a very well equipped kitchen. The dining room and lounge open on to a wrap around terrace, which gets the sun all day; the views out to sea are lovely.
The owner arranged pick up from the airport, local car hire, and for the property caretaker/manager to meet us on arrival to make sure we were comfortable. The fridge was even full!
Even in October it was warm enough to sit out by the pool, and in the evenings when the mountain chill descended there is a wood burning stove to enjoy - as well as the under-floor heating! The mountain walking is straightforward or challenger, depending on your wont. You are after all adjacent to the Lycian Way.
There are lots of trips that can be done and lots of sights to be seen. Do refer to local guidebooks or alternatively ask the locals who are all friendly and happy to make suggestions. Finding someone who speaks English does not appear a problem.
Enjoy and relax. We all intend to come back again soon.'

'Second time I've been here and I'm not disappointed. the accommodation is absolutely fantastic and the surrounding area superb. you do need a car as it's a little way out of Kalkan but then you'd need a car to see more of the beautiful country. very nice and peaceful at anytime of day just what a holiday should be like. will be going again soon.'

'This is a stunning villa with a amazing views, we travelled with young children who loved the pool. You need a car when staying because it's quite out of the way which is what we wanted, its quiet peaceful. Would definitely recommend this villa for families. I know I will be returning.'

'A beautiful villa with stylish spacious rooms, everything you need is right there. The views from the pool are to die for, and it's only a short drive to Kalkan where all the locals couldn't be more friendly and helpful. A once in a life time holiday and there really is something for every member of the family.'
